My how time has flown by, the boy is one today and all kinds of little messages have crossed my desk and mobile in acknowledgement.

First out of the gates was my cousin in Pretoria who sent an email last night, then an SMS from Allison and then a call from Dirty Harry. autumnthing knows who i am talking about. He is off to ZA land in December - lucky bastard!

In that vein I took a walk over to facebook and trawled through a few of the groups to reminisce about life in the slowlane aka Zimbabwe. Altogether rather depressing....

I interviewed with sicromoft yesterday, interesting position, seems it will require some political dancing. I am still waiting to hear back on whether they are interested.

I heard that a former IBM colleague was being called upon to be a character witness for me there too - wow !

Still waiting on the little dwarf travel agency, the uprofitable lightbox company and the bubblegum and jelly powder manufacturer/....

as i say to everyone, lots of conversations but nothing solid....

I shared this picture with some former colleagues who were complaining that there were a mass of resignations since i left; and today I heard my replacement is a Brazilian from REI. I wonder how long he will last....
